Compliance with legal provisions
LuckyKids International Children’s Language Camp undertakes to observe:
- The Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child;
- All legal provisions for organizing and conducting children’s and students’ recreation and tourism, specified in Ordinance № 2 of 24.04.1997 of the Minister of Education, Science and Technology;
- All normative acts related to the protection of the child’s health – the Ordinance on smoking, the Road Traffic Act, etc.
Child care
It is important to know that:
- The safe running of the activities set out in the LuckyKids children’s language camp program is guaranteed in many ways, one of which is the particularly favorable ratio of number of adults / number of children – 1:5.
- Activities such as horseback riding, yoga, swimming, paintball, cycling, hiking and picnics in the mountains are under the control and guidance of qualified instructors, guides and coaches.
- The teachers, animators and managers who make up the team of the camp are specialists with many years of experience in working with children.
The base – luxury and security
It is important to know that:
- LuckyKids International Summer Children’s Language Camp uses the base of the five-star aparthotel Lucky Bansko SPA & Relax, which is well equipped and meets all the conditions for organizing children’s vacations.
- The children are accommodated in groups of three or four in studios and apartments, from which all dangerous objects have been removed (the kitchen is without utensils and dangerous utensils, electrical appliances are turned off, window handles are removed, etc.).
- Animators and teachers are accommodated on each floor together with the children in order to protect their safety during the rest hours and at night.
- All rooms in the hotel, used by camp children, meet the requirements for fire and emergency safety and are specially secured: unbreakable glass, carpeted floors, without sharp edges, dangerous stairs and thresholds.
- Children’s access to the hotel pool is limited to fixed swimming hours and games, which are supervised by a professional lifeguard.
Safe transport
It is important to know that:
- LuckyKids International Summer Language Camp provides a two-way transfer Sofia – Bansko – Sofia, which is carried out by minibuses of the hotel, which meet all regulatory requirements for the transport of children.
- The vehicles are driven by professional drivers who comply with the speed limit required by law to transport children.
- During the camp, minibuses are used to transport the campers to the starting point of hiking and picnics, as well as for short trips to local attractions (except for the full-day excursion, which takes up to 100 km in one direction).
- Before each trip, the children undergo a safety briefing, which includes: rules for safely getting on and off the vehicle, wearing a seat belt, traveling in a sitting position, etc.
- Trips organized by LuckyKids Children’s Camp are only available during the day (excluding overnight stays other than aparthotels). Lucky Bansko in the town of Bansko).
Protecting the health of children
It is important to know that:
- LuckyKids Summer Children’s Language Camp has qualified medical care: a 24-hour doctor and a paramedic accompanying the children during the afternoon activities and the full-day excursion.
- If a child from the camp needs medical help, we immediately notify the parents / guardians or the persons mentioned in the Declaration Questionnaire.
- The camp team carefully examines the information provided by the parents / guardians in the Questionnaire-Declaration related to allergies, chronic and other diseases in order to ensure the safe stay of the child in the camp and take adequate care of their health.
- If a child refuses to eat or does not eat enough, the organizers of the camp inform their parents, and it is possible for them to decide to terminate the stay.
- We take into account all the requirements related to nutrition (special diet, the presence of food allergies, etc.), and for this purpose it is necessary to notify us in advance by filling in the relevant section of the Parent Questionnaire.
Tailored program
In the event of an unforeseen circumstance (bad weather, technical failure, etc.) that makes it difficult to carry out activities in the program or contains a security risk, the camp manager seeks a second opinion from a competent person and makes a decision based on the principle of best interest of the child.
